Unit Summary

The fourth step of the innovation process is to take the prototype that you built, giving it to users to try out, and asking for their feedback.
Your role here is to act like a scientist where you observe and note down what happens. You should also collect feedback from the users asking questions like:
  • Is there anything else you would like from the product?
  • What did you like about it?
  • What didn’t you like about it?
  • How do you think it could be improved?

The fourth step of the innovation process is to take the prototype that you built, giving it to users to try out, and asking for their feedback.
Your role here is to act like a scientist where you observe and note down what happens. You should also collect feedback from the users asking questions like:
  • Is there anything else you would like from the product?
  • What did you like about it?
  • What didn’t you like about it?
  • How do you think it could be improved?
Collecting all this feedback allows you to improve your solution and then test it again. In some cases, you might decide that the product you are building isn’t that great after all. If this happens you can go back to the second step and look at another idea.
This whole process allows you to improve your solution so that you focus on what helps your users or customers and adds value to them.
The bigger the problem that your solution solves for your target users, the more likely they are to try or buy it.
In the next modules, we will explore how you can build a social business using this solution that you came up with.
