Unit Summary

Here are two of the most common models:
  • Direct Channel is where you sell directly to your customers either through your website, your stores or through your sales teams.
  • Indirect Channel is where other people sell your products or services for you – such as through retailers. This can be a good way to reach your customers and even support

Build Your Action Plan

In this video we look at some of the different ways you can reach your customers so they can buy your products or services.
Channels are often the best way to reach potential customers with your product or service. Your aim is to find the most convenient way for your customers to buy your products and services and to ensure that they have a great experience with no problems.

Both models have advantages and disadvantages. You can make the decision which model to use after carefully analysing what works best for you. As the business evolves you might use a combination of the two models.
