Build Your Action Plan

By now, you should have a better understanding of the challenges we face in the region and the importance of finding solutions to these challenges.
In the next few modules, we will guide you through the process of how you can develop innovative solutions (ideas that are new and original) to deal with challenges.
The process we will use is called Innovation Design Thinking. You can use this process for any solution you work on.
There are four stages to the process:
  1. Understand the problem
  2. Come up with ideas
  3. Develop the best idea
  4. Evaluate and improve the idea / solution
When you finish these stages and think you have a good solution, we will help you turn your solution into a Social Business.
Social businesses or social enterprises are just like any other businesses. The main difference is, they don’t just focus on profits, but also on supporting the people around them and the planet. This is why we say that social businesses focus on the 3 Ps – Profit, People and Planet.
The knowledge and skills you learn in this process will help develop your entrepreneurship, financial literacy (understanding of how money is made, spent and saved) and skills for employment.
