Build Your Action Plan

Hi and welcome to the Tatawwar programme!
Building on the success of the past three editions of Tatawwar, HSBC in partnership with Potential.com are excited to invite all high school students to participate in the Tatawwar programme 2021-2022 edition.
Tatawwar aims to help you develop your business skills and knowledge about the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In the process, we will support you as you develop innovative solutions to challenges that are affecting your communities and the world at large.
The three key SDGs that we will focus on include:
  • Good health and well-being
  • Clean water and sanitation
  • Climate action challenges
Throughout the programme you will get the chance to develop and share your thoughts on how we can achieve these goals.
We will encourage you to start by finding out which of these goals is most important for your local community.
We will then support you to develop your solutions and bring them to life.
So, are you ready to make a difference and positively impact your community and the world?
Let’s get started!
In the following units, you will learn about some of the key challenges we face concerning the three UN SDGs we are focusing on in Tatawwar.
This course will help you develop a unique business idea of how to turn these challenges into opportunities.
The course is broken down into modules. In each module there is a video to watch and a few tasks to complete. These will guide you to build & develop your business idea.
There is a deadline for submitting your idea. After your submission, our team of experts and judges will evaluate and select the best 200 business ideas. The shortlisted participants from each participating country will be invited to prototyping workshops in key cities.
In these workshops, the 200 selected students will be supported to develop their ideas further and build a prototype of a product.
After that, 20 best ideas will be further shortlisted across the region and the 20 finalists will be invited to an advanced acceleration program. If you were among the finalists, you will also get to meet executives from the programme sponsors, HSBC and Potential.com. They will help you pitch your idea, complete your business plan and present to the Tatawwar judges in an awards ceremony.
Furthermore, we will award and support the top 3 winners with crowdfunding opportunities to help fund their business ideas and turn their prototypes into actual products.
The winners will also be recognised on social media as Tatawwar programme ambassadors.
Are you excited to become the next innovator?
Then let’s get started! Answer the questions below and move on to the next module.
Good luck!
